About

A strategy and design leader.

I'm a values led leader in strategy and design. My work sits at the intersection of storytelling, making sense of complexity, aligning people around what matters, and creating systems that endure.

Manifesto

I wrote the original version of this in 2010 and have evolved it ever so slightly to represent the things that are important to me, and the things I want to live and breathe at home and at work.

  1. 01 It is a responsibility to create a better world.
  2. 02 Say what you mean, mean what you say.
  3. 03 The future is diversity.
  4. 04 Be present, genuine, grounded, consistent.
  5. 05 Love is for everyone, even at work.

On design

Design begins with words. There are no exceptions.

Design without research is speculation.

Design without feedback is art.

Designers are specialist practitioners, while, Design Thinking and HCD are generalist methods.

Perfect the details. There are no exceptions.

Design thrives on strong relationships and needs other disciplines to survive.

    Women in Digital

I'm proud that the platform I've built, The Outlook, has resulted in being named finalist for the WID Allyship in Action Award.

Beyond work

Outside of leadership and strategy, I've poured my energy into building community. The Outlook , the festival I founded, has become a space where design, technology, and creativity converge, growing to thousands of participants and creating impact well beyond the stage.

At home, my manifesto holds true. Love, family, and connection matter most. I believe the way we show up for each other in everyday life shapes the kind of leaders we are at work.
